First Birthday Masterpiece

For your first birthday, Mommy had you fingerpaint your first masterpiece.  You did a beautiful job!  You weren't sure about how the paint felt between your fingers at first, but you got used to it after a little while.  By the end of your art project, you and I were both covered in paint!  Mommy plans to frame it and hang it up in your bedroom or playroom.  When your brother and sister turn one, they will fingerpaint their first masterpieces, too.  Then, I'll hang all three of them up together. 

Catherine's "Berry" First Birthday Party

We celebrated your "berry" first birthday with a Strawberry themed party.  What a special day with many of our close family and friends! 

 

 

You were very unhappy about wearing your birthday hat.  You were even unhappier when everyone began singing "Happy Birthday" to you.  You did not want anything to do with your cake!

 

After you calmed down, we tried giving you some cake again.  This was your first taste of "sweets", and you loved it! 

 

You love your toolbox from Uncle Jess, Aunt Ayme, and Jacob.
