NYE

Catherine and her friends (and moms!) met for lunch at Superior so the girls could exchange gifts.  Catherine had Landry, and Caroline had Catherine.  Caroline made Catherine a prayer jar... so sweet!

After lunch, we met Daddy, Joseph, and Caroline at the Olindes to watch the LSU Bowl game. We got the W. :)  We stayed until about 8:30 and went home to watch the ball drop.  We all tried staying up until midnight, but we didn't make it. 

We decided to celebrate at noon on New Years Day with a ball drop and our 2nd annual confetti in the den.  Happy New Year my babies! My prayer is that we all have a healthy, happy New Year full of fun times with our family and friends.  I am so thankful for you and Daddy and am excited to see what 2025 brings.

Happy 8th Birthday Caroline and Joseph!

Our babies are 8!!

How can this be?

We had such a fun day celebrating you both.

We started the day with balloons and your birthday songs.  You opened presents, and then we got dressed for the day.  You wanted beignets, so we went to Coffee Call.  Then we headed on down to the Audubon Zoo.  We celebrated with family that night with Papa John's, red velvet cake, and ice cream.  

Joseph, you are so special.  You amaze me with the way you think-  you are so smart.  You love to build things, reading, board games, and challenges.  You are loving, always quick to give me a hug and tell me you love me.  You love playing outside with Daddy, and you love spaghetti, gumbo, and gyros.  You are into LEGOS, brain games, reading, and playing board games.

Caroline, you are AWESOME.  That is the word that comes to mind when I think of you.  You are courageous, energetic, funny, strong, smart, and thoughtful.  You are helpful and love surprising me by folding the towels and putting them away before I see you doing it.  You love a good hug, and I LOVE our morning snuggles when you come in bed with me before it's time to get ready for school.  You work so hard, you love reading, and I love how you don't shy away from playing soccer with the boys.  You are adventurous, so much braver than I was at your age.  I hope you never lose your sense of wonder and stay courageous.

Happy birthday to my babies.  I love you more than words can say.
